Fucoidan as a Plant-Based Biostimulant

Seaweed Extract

Utilizing a specific extraction process, the intracellular components of seaweed are released, providing a rich complex of alginic acid, seaweed polysaccharides, oligosaccharides, mannitol, antioxidative phenols, natural minerals, and algae-derived gibberellins, auxins, cytokinins, and their derivatives.

Alginate

A high-molecular-weight compound made of poly-mannuronic acid and poly-guluronic acid, featuring high polymerization and viscosity, with a molecular weight of about 300,000.

Alginic Acid (Fucoidan)

A viscous organic acid, also known as algal acid, with an average molecular weight of 240,000 and a melting point of over 300°C.

Fucoidan Oligosaccharides

Comprising β-D-poly-mannuronic acid (M) and α-L-poly-guluronic acid (G), these linear oligomers have a degree of polymerization below 20 and a molecular weight below 5,000.

Product Advantages

  1. Enzyme-Based Production for High Activity
    • Utilizes “specific fucoidan lyase” enzyme technology, preventing intense oxidation-reduction reactions that degrade molecular structure and activity.
    • Unlike conventional chemical methods that cause oxidation damage and increase ash content, this method ensures purity and effectiveness.
  2. Stable Molecular Weight & High Bioactivity
    • The enzymatic hydrolysis process produces uniform oligosaccharide fragments, ensuring consistent molecular weight and quality.
  3. Optimized Degree of Polymerization
    • Oligosaccharides with a DP of 2-6 show the highest biological activity, accounting for over 95% of the product composition.
  4. Rapid & Long-Lasting Effects
    • Quick onset of action within 2-3 days.
    • Effects last for 20-30 days, ensuring prolonged benefits for crops.

Application Directions

Used for rooting stimulation, stress resistance, disease prevention, and fertilizer efficiency enhancement.
